Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Job Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH)? Are you looking for a rewarding job opportunity in Stoke-on-Trent? We have an exciting position available as a Learning Support Assistant for a renowned special educational needs school in the area.

This is a full-time posistion due to start ASAP. You must be able to work Monday-Friday, 8:30-15:30.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing essential support to students aged 3-18, helping them to overcome challenges and realize their full potential. Your dedication and commitment will contribute to creating a calm and supportive atmosphere, enabling these young minds to believe, achieve, and succeed in anything they set out for.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with teachers, building and strengthening healthy relationships to ensure outstanding performances and results. By providing individualized support to students, you will help them develop valuable skills and achieve their academic and personal goals.

The school is conveniently located with excellent transport links, making it easily accessible. Additionally, on-site parking is available for your convenience.

 Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH) is highly desirable.
  • A compassionate and patient nature, with a genuine passion for making a positive impact on students’ lives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teachers and other staff members.
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs.
