Are you passionate about education and working with children in their early years?

Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic 2:1 Teaching Assistant to work in a reputable school in Tamworth. This is a full-time role to cover the period until Christmas with the possibility of extension.

As an Early Years 2:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of young children during their crucial early years. Your responsibilities will include providing personal care to the children, assisting with their daily routines, and creating a safe and stimulating learning environment.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a Level 3 in early years and previous experience working with early years children. You should have a thorough understanding of child development and be able to apply appropriate teaching strategies to support their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

– Provide personal care support to the two children
– Assist with daily routines and activities
– Create a safe and positive learning environment
– Support the classroom teacher in delivering the curriculum
– Monitor and record children’s progress
– Collaborate with parents and other professionals to ensure holistic development

Requirements:

– Previous experience working with early years children
– Knowledge of child development and appropriate teaching strategies
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
– Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
