Full-time Teaching Assistant (Y1)

Job Description

Are you passionate about supporting children in their educational journey? Are you skilled in behavior management, while also possessing a calm and understanding approach? If so, Zest Education is currently seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to work in a lovely primary school in Tamworth. The role is due to start ASAP and is ongoing for the ideal person.

In this role, you will be working in Year 1, specifically in a small withdrawal group. Your main responsibility will be to support and assist the children in their learning, ensuring their individual needs are met. You will collaborate closely with a permanent member of staff, providing valuable support to create a positive and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
– Support children in Year 1 within a small withdrawal group setting.
– Employ effective behavior management strategies to create a conducive learning environment.
– Adapt and be flexible to meet the students’ varying needs.
– Collaborate with a permanent member of staff to ensure a cohesive teaching approach.

Requirements:
– Previous experience supporting children in a primary school setting is essential.
– Possession of a Level 3 qualification in childcare is desired.
– Excellent behavior management skills with a calm and understanding demeanor.
– Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the students.
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
