We are currently looking for a passionate teaching assistant for a special educational needs school located in Tamworth. This school caters for children from the age of five to sixteen with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). Due to the needs of the students, the ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with individuals with SEND.
This is a part-time position starting after the Easter half term and will be continue on a long term basis into the new the academic year. The school are looking for a individual who can commit to 3 days a week, 8:30 to 15:30.
The team here work hard to maintain a supportive and inclusive ethos across all areas of the school and put the children at the heart of what they do. This school promotes, encourages, supports, and celebrates learning by ensuring that the curriculum is challenging, creative, age appropriate and relevant to the needs of the pupils.
You will be working alongside the class teacher supporting with the delivery of lessons and preparing resources. You will be required to support the students on a one-to-one basis as well as working with small groups, so you must have a flexible approach.
