We’re recruiting for an enthusiastic, bright, and hard-working full-time teaching assistant to work at a special educational needs school located in Stourbridge. This position will start September 2022 and will continue on a long term basis into the new academic year.
This school caters for children from the age of six to fourteen with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). The ideal candidate will have previous experience of supporting individuals with SEND. Although this position is to work in a school environment, we are open to receiving applications from TA’s, support workers and individuals that have worked with adults with special educational needs.
This school also encourages pupils to take an active role outside the school such as going swimming, on community engagements and getting involved with pupils from other schools allowing students to practice skills learned in school such as communicating effectively in different environments. You will be required to support the children inside and outside of the classroom, so it is important that you have a flexible approach.
