Zest Education are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work in a special educational needs school located in Rugeley. This is a full-time position starting September 2022 and will continue on a long term basis into the new academic year.
This is a specialist residential school with two attached children’s homes, this school caters for children from the age of five to nineteen with Autism (ASC), social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). All students have associated learning difficulties within the moderate to severe range. Due to the needs of the children, we are ideally looking for an individual with previous SEND experience or within a care setting.
The school has picturesque surroundings which does weekly trips out to Cannock Chase and even participate in Duke of Edinburgh. The role will require you to quickly build engaging relationships with small groups of children, and you will need to work closely as a team with the class teacher and other teaching assistants.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
