Zest Education is currently recruiting for dedicated and passionate SEND teaching assistants in the Dudley area. We have both full-time and part-time roles available, offering flexibility to suit your schedule. Whether you are seeking short-term or long-term positions, we have opportunities that cater to your needs.
As an organisation that specialises in working with SEND schools local to you, we value individuals with experience in SEND settings, support work, or personal care. Your knowledge and expertise in these areas will be invaluable in providing quality support to students with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
– Assisting students with their learning and development, ensuring their individual needs are met
– Supporting classroom activities under the guidance of the teacher
– Encouraging students to actively participate in educational tasks and exercises
– Providing personal care and assistance to students with physical disabilities or other specific requirements
– Collaborating with the teaching staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
– Demonstrated experience in working with students with special educational needs
– Strong understanding of SEND practices and strategies
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively as part of a team
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a positive difference in students’ lives

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
