Classroom Support Assistant

Zest Education are working with a popular secondary special educational needs school located in Lichfield who are looking for multiple Classroom Support Assistant’s to strengthen their team on a long term to permanent basis. The successful candidates must have previous experience working with special educational needs or in a similar environment.

The school caters for children from the age of eleven to nineteen with a wide range of educational difficulties from moderate to severe and complex needs; some of our pupils have additional physical, sensory, and autistic conditions. You will be patient, enthusiastic and be able to identify and engage with different learning needs. The successful candidate must be confident working with the children in small groups and providing 1:1 support where needed.

The role:

• You have previous experience working with special educational needs or in a care environment
• The successful candidate must be confident working with the children in small groups and providing 1:1 support where needed.
• You will be working alongside the class teacher, preparing learning resources and maintain the classroom to a high standard

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
