Full-time Teaching Assistant

Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a special educational needs school located in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a long-term position starting in April 2024 and continuing for the remainder of the academic year.

As a Teaching Assistant at our school, you will have the opportunity to work with children aged 5-18 with mild to moderate, complex learning needs. To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience supporting individuals with special educational needs, either in a school-based setting or within a care/support work environment.

The ideal candidate will be dynamic, passionate, and committed to helping deliver an outstanding curriculum that motivates our pupils and achieves positive outcomes for our young people. You should have experience working with students with a range of complex learning needs and demonstrate a strong understanding of how these needs impact learning and behaviour in the classroom.
