Classroom Support Assistant

Job Description

Zest Education, an award-winning education agency, is seeking a dedicated Classroom Support Assistant to join a lovely year 1 class at a school in Wednesbury. This full-time position is available immediately and will continue until the end of the academic year. The school offers a welcoming atmosphere and provides onsite parking for staff if needed.

As a classroom support assistant, your responsibilities may include:

– Assisting the teacher with classroom management and organization.
– Working one-on-one or in small groups with students who may need additional support.

– Helping to create and implement lesson plans and activities.
– Monitoring and supervising students during instructional time or other activities.
– Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure the success of all students.

The requirements for a classroom support assistant include:

– Experience working with children or in an educational setting.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work well in a team and take direction from teachers and school administrators.
– Basic knowledge of the British Curriculum

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
