1:1 Teaching Assistant

Job Description

This part-time position will commence in April and continue until the end of the academic year.

Your responsibilities will include:
– Providing one-on-one support to a specific student, assisting with their individual learning needs and development.
– Working collaboratively with teachers to implement tailored educational strategies and interventions.
– Fostering a positive and supportive relationship with the student, promoting their well-being and engagement in class.
– Maintaining accurate records of the student’s progress and communicate effectively with parents and other stakeholders.

The requirements of the successful candidate will include:

– Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within an educational setting.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, staff, and parents.
– A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
– Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or a related field would be advantageous.
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to the changing needs of the student and school.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
