Are you a Year 2 Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity?

Zest are currently recruiting for a Year 2 Teacher to take on full responsibility at a primary school in Cannock. This role is due to start in May 2024 and is expected to continue until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of extension.

The primary school in Cannock is committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for all students. With a supportive leadership team and a dedicated teaching staff, the school prioritises the well-being and academic success of each student.
As a Year 2 Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing a high-quality education experience for young learners. The role will be full time, Monday – Friday and the successful candidate will have a valid QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and recent experience working in a Year 2 class.

Responsibilities:
– Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum, ensuring the progression of all students
– Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and confidence
– Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support as needed
– Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure effective communication and a holistic approach to education
– Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to individual learning needs
– Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance

Requirements:
– Valid QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and relevant teaching qualifications
– Proven experience working in a Year 2 class, with a strong understanding of the curriculum
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students
– Strong organisational and time management abilities
– A passion for education and a commitment to providing high-quality teaching

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
