Year 3 Learning Support Assistant – Full Time

Job Description

Zest Educationa are working with  a vibrant and inclusive primary school located in the heart of Solihull, the school is dedicated to fostering a supportive and nurturing environment for all the students.

The school takes pride on their commitment to excellence in education and strong sense of community. As the school continues to grow, Zest are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a year 3 class and make a positive impact on the lives of young students.

The Role: Zest are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a Year 3 class full time in September 2024. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the classroom teacher and ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Assist the classroom teacher with the preparation and delivery of engaging and effective lessons.
  • Support students in developing their literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
  • Assist with classroom management and organization.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Participate in school-wide activities and events.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with primary school children, preferably in a Year 3 setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A relevant qualification in education or child development is desirable.
  • Previous experience working with students with SEN is an advantage.

Pay is dependant on references and experience.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
