EYFS Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a wonderful team at a primary school in West Bromwich. This full-time position will commence from September 2024 and is expected to last for at least one academic term, with the requirement of working Monday to Friday. This position could possibly continue should the school find you a suitable fit.

To be successful within this position you must have prior experience working within a early years or school setting with knowledge of the early years framework. The school are looking for a candidate who has a passionate and nurturing nature.

Responsibilities for this role include:
– Supporting the Class Teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons for early years students
– Assisting with the planning and preparation of classroom activities
– Providing one-on-one support to students who may require additional help
– Creating a safe and nurturing learning environment for all children
– Collaborating with colleagues and parents to ensure the holistic development of each child
– Monitoring and recording student progress and behaviours

Pay will begin from £77.00 per day and will depend on experiences and references.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
