EYFS Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Are you passionate about helping young children reach their full potential? Do you have a Level 2 qualification in childcare or early years education? If so, Zest Education is looking for a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Coventry starting in September 2024.

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote essential skills and knowledge in line with the EYFS curriculum.

Your responsibilities will include supporting individual children’s learning needs, including those with special educational needs or disabilities, encouraging positive behaviour, and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment. You will collaborate with the teaching team to assess and monitor children’s progress, providing feedback to parents and carers as needed.

To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience working with children in an educational setting, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to supporting children’s learning and development. You should also be able to work effectively as part of a team and have a genuine passion for working with young children.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
