Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a special educational needs school in Coventry. This rewarding role is set to commence in November 2024 and offers a long-term opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children aged 6-17 with severe and profound complex learning difficulties.
We have both full-time and part-time positions available, providing flexibility to suit your schedule. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with individuals with special educational needs, demonstrating a deep understanding of how to support and empower these students effectively.
At this school, equality is paramount, they prioritise equipping all pupils with essential life skills. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in various classrooms, assisting students with their daily activities and fostering a positive learning environment. We are looking for a proactive and engaging individual with a proven track record in behaviour management across different age groups.
To excel in this role, you must possess confidence, enthusiasm, and the ability to cater to diverse learning needs with ease. Effective communication skills are essential as you will interact with both colleagues and students regularly. Building trustful relationships with the children to help them overcome learning challenges is a key aspect of this position, requiring a genuine passion for making a difference in their lives.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
