Early Career Teacher ( ECT)

Zest Education is partnering with this outstanding school in Smethwick to find a talented ECT to join their team from December 2024 for at least two academic terms. The wonderful partner school believe in providing a purposeful, stimulating, and broad curriculum that caters to the differing needs and abilities of all children. We understand that each child learns at their own pace, and our curriculum ensures that they can make good progression while preparing them for life beyond primary school.

As an ECT, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of our students. We are seeking someone who is passionate about teaching, eager to make a positive impact, and committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of different approaches and be able to apply them effectively in the classroom.

Responsibilities:
– Deliver engaging lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and educational standards
– Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
– Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
– Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring the well-being and safety of all students
– Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child’s academic progress

Requirements:
– Qualified Early Career Teacher (ECT) with relevant teaching qualifications and certifications
– Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and educational standards
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics and behaviour
– Passion for continuous professional development and a commitment to staying updated with the latest educational practices

This is a full-time position requiring the successful candidate to work 5 days a week. As an ECT at our partner school, you will have access to ongoing support and professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and further your career.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
