Site Technician – Lichfield

Job Description

Zest Education are recruiting for a part time Site Technician to work at a primary school in Lichfield. The Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking member of staff.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

The successful candidate will provide efficient and effective caretaking support to the school with grounds maintenance, security of site and general appearance of buildings and surrounding areas.  Duties include locking up, opening up and ensuring that the premises are in a safe, tidy and satisfactory condition for all staff and students.

It is necessary that in this role you are able to work individually but as part of a wider team undertaking your tasks in an organised and timely manner, whether it is replacing a light bulb, unblocking sinks or liaising with contractors.

Due to the nature of the service, early mornings and late evenings will be required.

Vacancy Type:  Permanent

Number of hours:  15 hours per week Monday to Friday

(working pattern negotiable)

You must be able to:

  • open the school by 7:30
  • close the school by 6pm
  • start in January 2025

The role will be permanent and the school require you to visit before the start date.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
