Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Zest Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a ‘Good’ primary school in Shepherds Bush from September 2025.

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role is crucial in helping the child access the curriculum and develop essential social and emotional skills. Full time role, hours 08:30-16:00pm. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored support to meet the individual needs of the pupil.

  • Implement strategies to support communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.

  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

  • Create a structured and inclusive learning environment.

  • Assist with classroom activities and adapt materials to suit the pupil’s learning style.

  • Provide feedback on the pupil’s progress and well-being
