SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time & Part-Time Roles Available

Location: Lichfield, Staffordshire
Start Date: September 2025
Hours: Monday–Friday, between 08:30–15:30
Contract: Term-time (both full- and part-time opportunities)

About the School

Join a large, inclusive special school in Lichfield supporting pupils aged 11–19 who hold Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs) for moderate to severe learning difficulties and disabilities. The school follow a broad, ambitious curriculum tailored to each student’s cognitive and development stages focusing on academic, vocational, social, and personal skill growth.

  • Preparing students for adulthood through vocational pathways and enrichment opportunities

Role Description

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the delivery of adaptive, engaging lessons across the school’s ExploreExtend, or Excel curriculum pathways
  • Provide 1:1 or small-group support tailored to EHCP outcomes
  • Help manage behaviour using positive, proactive strategies
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver a holistic educational experience
  • Assist with classroom preparation, resource management, and pupil progress monitoring

  • Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Has experience (or a keen interest) in working with young people with SEN
  • Is committed to inclusive education and fostering resilience and readiness for life
