Part time TA

Job Description

Part-Time Teaching Assistant
Working Days: Every Wednesday and Thursday
Contract: For the full academic year (2025–2026)
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Zest Education is proud to be working in partnership with a school in the Moseley/Hall Green area to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Teaching Assistant to join their outstanding resource base provision, ‘The Nest’.

About the Role

‘The Nest’ is a nurturing and inclusive space within the school, designed to support children with a range of additional needs. As a Teaching Assistant in this provision, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, tailored support that helps every child to thrive both academically and emotionally.

This role is part-time, working every Wednesday and Thursday, and is confirmed to run for the full academic year. It’s a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a lasting impact in a supportive, structured setting.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting individual and small groups of children with additional needs

  • Assisting the class teacher and SENCO in planning and delivering personalised interventions

  • Encouraging positive social interactions and emotional regulation

  • Providing a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about working with children with additional needs

  • Patient, caring and resilient

  • Experienced (or has a strong interest) in SEND support

  • Able to build strong, trusting relationships with children and staff alike

Relevant qualifications and/or experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential – the right attitude, enthusiasm, and commitment to inclusive education are what really count.

About the School

This fantastic school is a welcoming and forward-thinking school with a strong ethos of inclusion and respect. ‘The Nest’ is central to their commitment to supporting all learners, and the school team takes pride in creating a space where every child feels valued and understood.
