Full-Time Teaching Assistant – Permanent Role
Location: Rugeley
Hours: 32.5 per week | Monday to Friday
Zest Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Rugeley. The school is seeking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This rewarding role will involve supporting pupils across the full primary age range, working both with small groups and on a one-to-one basis. You will work closely with class teachers to deliver targeted support that enhances pupils’ learning experiences and progress.
The successful candidate will support children with additional needs, particularly during PE sessions and classroom-based learning. There may also be a requirement to assist with personal care. A key aspect of the role includes managing behaviour using positive reinforcement techniques and restorative practices, helping to maintain a supportive and respectful classroom environment.
You will initially be based in the Y1/2 classrooms but may be needed across all year groups as time goes on.
You will be an integral part of a collaborative team, contributing to the overall learning provision within the school and helping to ensure that all children are fully supported in their educational journey.
Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant
Confidence in supporting children with additional needs
Ability to work flexibly across year groups
Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
