Job Title: Full-Time 1:1 Support Teaching Assistant
Location: Tyseley, Birmingham
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time
Zest education are seeking a compassionate and committed 1:1 Support Teaching Assistant to join our caring and inclusive primary school in Tyseley from September 2025.
This is a rewarding opportunity to provide tailored support to a child with additional needs, helping them to thrive both academically and socially.
You will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to provide consistent, personalised support to a named pupil with specific learning and/or behavioural needs. Your duties will include:
Delivering 1:1 support in line with the pupil’s individual education plan (IEP)
Assisting with learning activities inside and outside the classroom
Encouraging the pupil’s independence, confidence, and engagement
Supporting social interaction and emotional regulation
Working collaboratively with teaching staff, external agencies, and parents/carers
Be patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships
Have experience supporting children with SEND (desirable but not essential)
Be a good communicator and team player
Be proactive and flexible in meeting the needs of the child
Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
