EYFS Teaching Assistant – Full Time – Balsall Heath 

Start Date: 1st September 2025
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 3:40pm
Additional Duties: Lunchtime supervision twice per week
Contract Type: FTC, full academic year


Zest Education is working in partnership with a resilient and ambitious primary school in Balsall Heath, Birmingham, to recruit an experienced and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.

This role is ideal for a calm, confident, and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about supporting young learners at the start of their educational journey.

You will play a vital part in supporting the class teacher and EYFS team, working with individual pupils and small groups to ensure every child has the opportunity to flourish. You will also assist with resource preparation and classroom set-ups to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Additionally, you will support lunchtime supervision twice a week, helping to ensure a safe and structured break for pupils.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)

  • Significant experience working within an EYFS setting

  • Strong interpersonal and behaviour management skills

  • The ability to work well as part of a team while also showing initiative

  • A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach to working with young children
