Zest Education is delighted to be working alongside a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Rugeley, who are currently seeking a committed and caring 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis, starting in November 2025.
This rewarding role involves supporting a child in Year 2 with identified sensory needs, providing tailored support to help them engage positively in their learning environment. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver individualised strategies that promote both academic and emotional development.

👧 Specialising in Sensory Needs Support
Provide 1:1 support for a child with sensory processing needs.
Implement and adapt learning activities to suit the child’s individual requirements.
Help create a calm, structured, and supportive classroom experience.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals where needed.
Has previous experience working with children who have sensory processing or sensory integration needs.
Understands how to create a supportive, stimulating environment for pupils with additional needs.
Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a calm approach to supporting behaviour.
Can communicate effectively with both children and staff.
Holds a relevant TA qualification or equivalent experience (preferred but not essential).

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
