Job Opportunity: Full-Time Teaching Assistants (TAs)

Location: Hounslow
Employment Type: Full-time, term-time (39 weeks per year)*


About the School

  • A special needs primary school supporting children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

  • Pupils present with a range of needs, including social, emotional and mental health (SEMH), autism spectrum conditions, speech and language difficulties, and ADHD.

About the Role: Teaching Assistant (Full Time)

Main Objective:
To provide tailored support to pupils with complex needs, enabling them to regulate, build resilience, and make strong academic and personal progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals and small groups with learning across the curriculum.

  • Deliver structured interventions to develop communication, literacy, and social skills.

  • Work closely with therapists and teachers to implement strategies that reduce barriers to learning.

  • Provide compassionate support for behaviour and regulation, using trauma-informed approaches.

  • Contribute to classroom organisation, resources, displays, and preparation.

  • Assist with assessments, feedback, and pupil progress tracking.

  • Supervise children during educational visits and activities.

  • Support healthcare needs, including first aid, where required.

  • Champion safeguarding, wellbeing, and the school’s inclusive ethos.
