Job Description

Part-Time Reception Class Teacher (0.8) – South Birmingham
Start Date: After October Half Term 2025
Contract: Fixed term until July 2026
Days: 4 days per week (Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday)

Zest Education are proud to be working in partnership with a warm and welcoming primary school located in South Birmingham, as they look to recruit an enthusiastic Reception Class Teacher to join their dedicated EYFS team on a part-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a nurturing and inclusive school community that is committed to providing a stimulating and engaging early years curriculum. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced colleagues within the wider EYFS team, contributing to a creative and child-centred approach to learning.

About the Role:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching to a Reception class, taking on full classroom responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the EYFS team to create a rich and supportive learning environment

  • Embrace all aspects of school life, including attendance at staff meetings and parents’ evenings when required

  • Start date: after October half term 2025

  • Contract runs until the end of the academic year in July 2026

  • 0.8 contract (4 days per week)

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be a passionate and dedicated teacher with experience in EYFS or early primary

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

  • Have a sound understanding of the EYFS framework and child development

  • Be committed to supporting every child to achieve their potential

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents and carers
