Part-Time Reception Class Teacher (0.8) – South Birmingham
Start Date: After October Half Term 2025
Contract: Fixed term until July 2026
Days: 4 days per week (Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday)
Zest Education are proud to be working in partnership with a warm and welcoming primary school located in South Birmingham, as they look to recruit an enthusiastic Reception Class Teacher to join their dedicated EYFS team on a part-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a nurturing and inclusive school community that is committed to providing a stimulating and engaging early years curriculum. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced colleagues within the wider EYFS team, contributing to a creative and child-centred approach to learning.
About the Role:
Deliver high-quality teaching to a Reception class, taking on full classroom responsibilities
Work collaboratively with the EYFS team to create a rich and supportive learning environment
Embrace all aspects of school life, including attendance at staff meetings and parents’ evenings when required
Start date: after October half term 2025
Contract runs until the end of the academic year in July 2026
0.8 contract (4 days per week)
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Be a passionate and dedicated teacher with experience in EYFS or early primary
Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Have a sound understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
Be committed to supporting every child to achieve their potential
Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents and carers
This is a fantastic role for a teacher looking to work part-time while still playing a full role in shaping young children’s learning during this critical stage of their development.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
