PPA teacher

Job Description

Part-Time PPA Teacher – 2 Days per Week | Frankley | September 2025 Start
Bring your passion, flexibility, and resilience to a role where every day truly makes a difference.

Zest Education is working in partnership with a diverse and dynamic primary school in Frankley, currently seeking a part-time PPA teacher to join their team from after October half term. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher who thrives in a busy environment and is committed to supporting all learners.

About the School:

This is a lively and fast-paced setting that caters to a wide range of pupil needs, including those with additional and more complex learning requirements. Staff here are proud of the inclusive and supportive culture they’ve built, but they also recognise the daily challenges that come with meeting a broad spectrum of needs. If you’re looking for a school where your skills are valued – and where no two days are the same – this could be the perfect fit.

The Role:

  • 2 days per week (days to be agreed with the school)

  • PPA cover across different year groups – flexibility is essential

  • You’ll deliver planned lessons and maintain consistency and high expectations across the classes you support

  • A great opportunity to be part of a strong, supportive staff team without the added pressures of a full-time teaching role

The Ideal Candidate:

We’re looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Is adaptable, resilient, and calm under pressure

  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, inclusive setting

  • Has experience working with a range of pupil needs, including SEND and SEMH

  • Brings strong classroom management and a positive, team-focused attitude

  • Is confident teaching across multiple primary year groups

  • Own transport is desirable due to the location of the school

This role is ideal for someone looking to maintain a strong connection to classroom teaching while enjoying a more manageable, part-time commitment. Whether you’re returning to the profession, looking for better balance, or seeking a role where you can make a genuine impact – we’d love to hear from you.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.

The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
