Nursery Manager – Full time – Permanent

Zest education are looking for a dedicated Nursery Manager to lead our friendly, vibrant nursery in Handsworth. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a genuine passion for providing outstanding childcare and education.


About the Role

As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring it provides a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. You’ll lead a team of qualified practitioners, manage operations effectively, and maintain strong relationships with parents, staff, and regulatory bodies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the smooth running of the nursery and ensure compliance with Ofsted standards.

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of early years practitioners.

  • Manage budgets, staffing, and occupancy levels effectively.

  • Ensure the highest standards of care, safety, and education are delivered at all times.

  • Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and the local community.

  • Implement and monitor policies, procedures, and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.


About You

  • Minimum of Level 3 or above in Early Years Education (Level 5 or Degree preferred).

  • Proven experience in a Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager role.

  • Excellent understanding of EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations.

  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.

  • A warm, professional approach and a passion for helping children reach their full potential.
