We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a friendly primary school in Burton upon Trent. This is a full-time role, starting ASAP, working mainly across Year 2 and Reception classes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA or a confident Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step, with a strong passion for Early Years and Key Stage 1 education.
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support teaching and learning in Reception and Year 2
Deliver small group and intervention sessions
Cover lessons when required, following planning provided
Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
Work closely with class teachers and support staff
Help create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
We are looking for someone who:
Holds HLTA status (or equivalent experience)
Has experience working in Early Years and KS1
Is confident supporting whole-class learning and interventions
Has strong behaviour management and communication skills
Is proactive, flexible, and works well as part of a team
Is committed to supporting pupil progress and wellbeing
