Zest Education is recruiting a part time Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with additional needs in a Reception class at a welcoming primary school in Tamworth.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone patient, nurturing, and passionate about supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Role: Part Time Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)
Year Group: Reception
Location: Tamworth, Staffordshire
Start Date: After February half term
Working Days: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
You will provide consistent 1:1 support to help the child access learning, develop communication skills, and feel secure within the classroom environment.
Deliver dedicated 1:1 support for a child with additional needs
Support learning through structured and play-based activities
Encourage communication, engagement, and social development
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
Implement individual support strategies and routines
Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or working with young children
Experience supporting SEND or additional needs (desirable)
A calm, patient, and resilient approach
Ability to commit to Tuesday–Thursday, 8:30–3:30
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
A consistent part-time role in a supportive primary school
