Zest Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Tamworth to recruit a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teacher for a full-time role starting in the Summer Term.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to join a committed team and make a real impact in a Year 2 classroom during a key stage in pupils’ learning journey.

The Role:

  • Full-time position (Monday to Friday)

  • Summer Term start

  • Teaching a Year 2 class

  • Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum

  • Assessing and tracking pupil progress

  • Creating a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Have recent experience teaching within KS1, ideally Year 2

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and SATs preparation

  • Show excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Be committed, adaptable and enthusiastic about primary education

  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children’s progress and development

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
