Our dedicated SEND school in the Walsall area is looking for a compassionate, proactive full time SEND Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team.
We are a nurturing and inclusive SEND school committed to providing personalised support for pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, communication needs, sensory needs, and complex learning difficulties. You’ll be part of a warm, collaborative team that truly values its staff.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small‑group support tailored to pupils’ individual needs
Assist teachers with delivering adapted and engaging learning activities
Help pupils regulate their emotions, build confidence, and develop independence
Support EHCP‑led targets and personalised learning plans
Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
Build strong, trust‑based relationships with pupils
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support professionals

Able to adapt your approach to meet a range of needs
A strong communicator who works well within a team
Reliable, nurturing, and enthusiastic
Experienced in working with SEND pupils or with a care setting
Qualified to Level 2/3 in Teaching Support or equivalent (desirable but not required for the right candidate)
