🔎 Your Key Responsibilities

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
  • Provide 1:1 and small‑group support tailored to pupils’ individual needs
  • Assist teachers with delivering adapted and engaging learning activities
  • Help pupils regulate their emotions, build confidence, and develop independence
  • Support EHCP‑led targets and personalised learning plans
  • Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
  • Build strong, trust‑based relationships with pupils
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support professionals

  • Patient, empathetic, and passionate about supporting SEND learners
  • Able to adapt your approach to meet a range of needs
  • A strong communicator who works well within a team
  • Reliable, nurturing, and enthusiastic
  • Experienced in working with SEND pupils or with a care setting
  • Qualified to Level 2/3 in Teaching Support or equivalent (desirable but not required for the right candidate)
