Zest Education is delighted to be recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Year 3 Class Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Burton upon Trent.

This is a fantastic part-time teaching opportunity, working every Friday throughout the first half term of the academic year, starting in September 2026. The school is looking for an enthusiastic teacher who can provide consistency and high-quality teaching for a well-established Year 3 class.

About the Role

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a teacher seeking a regular day of teaching each week. You will be responsible for delivering lessons to a Year 3 class every Friday, ensuring pupils remain engaged and make continued progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons to a Year 3 class every Friday.
  • Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
  • Support pupils’ academic and personal development.
  • Mark work and provide feedback in line with school expectations.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to ensure consistency for pupils.
  • Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching in a primary school setting.
  • Be confident teaching within Key Stage 2.
  • Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Be reliable, organised, and professional.
  • Be able to quickly build rapport with pupils and colleagues.
  • Have a passion for delivering high-quality education.
