About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils across the school, helping to create engaging learning experiences and ensuring all children can access the curriculum successfully.

The school is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual who is passionate about education and can support children with a broad range of learning needs. Experience supporting pupils with Autism, Specific Learning Difficulties, and trauma-related behaviours would be highly beneficial.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team while also having the confidence and initiative to work independently when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning across the primary age range.
  • Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups.
  • Implement strategies to support children with additional needs.
  • Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.
  • Work closely with class teachers to adapt learning activities where needed.
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold a relevant Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.

  • Have knowledge of strategies that support children with SEND, including Autism and specific learning difficulties.
