Year 1 Teacher

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and passionate Year 1 Teacher to join our welcoming primary school in Solihull. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding practitioner, or an ambitious Early Career Teacher (ECT), who is committed to providing high-quality learning experiences and supporting children as they transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage into Key Stage 1.

The Role

As our Year 1 Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and inspiring lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure the best outcomes for children.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold our values and ethos.

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has a strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
  • Is committed to high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is enthusiastic, reflective, and eager to develop professionally.
