Zest Education has the privilege of working closely with a secondary school in the Tamworth area looking to recruit a full time humanities teacher to start from January 2024 for the rest of the academic year.

The school is improving within academic and attainment levels and is continually looking to ensure their students develop into respectable and inspiring individuals. This is supported by a staff that are always encouraging and eager to develop themselves so they can be the best for the pupils.

The school has plenty of onsite parking and is accessible by public transport for those that may use it. A recent investment into resources means all classrooms are equipped to support a creative and dynamic lesson where all students are engaged and learning. The ideal candidate must have excellent subject knowledge across at least two of the humanities disciplines, Geography, RE or History.

The successful applicant will have:
  1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  2. A strong passion for Humanities and excellent subject knowledge across KS4 and KS5 in two of the disciplines
  3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  5. Strong classroom and behaviour management
  6. Be confident in using ICT in their professional role

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
