Learning Support Assistant

Zest Education are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work in a SEND school located in Cannock. This is a full-time position, and you will be required to work Monday to Friday 8:30 to 15:30 We have opportunities available for immediate starts.

This school provides a stimulating learning environment from which children can develop and move forward. The children are stimulated to become the best they can be; academically and personally.

The school are looking for learning support assistants who has respect for all, promoting self-awareness and excellent behaviour. As a Learning Support Assistant, your role will be to support the class teachers in providing and developing a high-quality education to address the individual needs of the children.

The school itself caters for children from the age of three up to eleven with moderate learning difficulties (MLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD) Autism (ASC), and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).

The role:

• You must be confident and adaptable as you will be working with children of a variety of ages and needs
• You will be required to prepare learning resources and ensure the classroom is maintained to a high standard
• The ability to build good working relationships with children, teachers, parents and carers
• The ability to promote positive behaviour in a nurturing environment is essential
• Must have previous SEND experience supporting children or adults

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
