Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about special education? Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of children with SEND? Then we would love to hear from you.

Zest is working with a special educational needs school in Stourbridge to recruit for a Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis. The school would love the ideal TA to start in May 2023 and the role will continue for the duration of the academic year.

This school has two sites one which caters for children from the age of 3-14 and the second caters for students 14-19. Providing a quality education for pupils with complex needs, severe learning difficulties, including autism, and pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties.

You will connect directly with the brilliant children and young people, helping to make sure they get the very best from their education. They have so much potential, and they will rely on you to guide their learning journeys bespoke to them.

The role:

  • You must have experience supporting children, young people or adults with SEND
  • You will need to be creative in the classroom and be able to offer engaging support to the class teacher and students
  • You will be offered a great support network within school and any in-house training will be included

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
