Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Zest Education are recruiting for a fantastic opportunity to join a busy SEND school in Stourbridge to start in September 2023. The school are looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant, the position will be long-term covering until at least Easter 2024. The role will require someone has previous experience supporting individuals with SEND or experience within a care setting.

This school has two sites one catering for children from the age of 3-14 and the second catering for students from the age of 14-19 with complex needs, severe learning difficulties, including autism, and pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties.

The team here work hard to maintain a supportive and inclusive ethos across all areas of the school and put the children at the heart of what they do. The role:

  • Providing support to students in and out of the classroom
  • Work collaboratively as a team to improve outcomes for the students
  • You will be confident, enthusiastic and be able to identify and engage with different learning needs
  • You must be a dedicated individual to providing children with a secure and supportive learning environment
  • You must also have excellent communication skills as will be required to work closely with the class teacher and other teaching assistants
