Humanities Teacher

Job Description

Are you a Humanities Teacher looking for a new role in September?

Zest Education is working closely with a secondary school in Stoke who need a Humanities Teacher to start in the new academic year (September 2023). This is a full time role and is ongoing for the right candidate.

The school is continually improving within academic and attainment levels and strives to give their pupils a broad and balanced curriculum which allows for endless opportunities, supporting their educational, social and emotional growth.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for Humanities and excellent subject knowledge across KS4 and KS5 in two of the three disciplines
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  • A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Be confident in using ICT

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
