Zest Education are working with a busy special educational needs school located in Lichfield to recruit a full-time Classroom Support Assistant.
The hours of work will be from Monday-Friday, 8:30-15:30. This role is due to begin as soon as possible and will continue on a long term basis.
This inclusive school caters to students aged 11-19 with moderate to severe learning difficulties and disabilities. As a Classroom Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to these students, helping them develop the skills they need to lead happy, healthy, and independent lives.
We welcome applications from Teaching Assistants, support workers, and individuals with experience working with adults with special educational needs. Your commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all pupils is essential, along with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher, assisting students with their work and supporting positive behaviour. Building strong relationships with students, acting as a role model, and addressing individual needs will be key responsibilities.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
