Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Zest Education, the leading agency in the Midlands, is working with a wonderful school in the Moseley area of Birmingham to recruit a dedicated full-time Teaching Assistant for a rewarding opportunity.
As a TA you will provide essential 1-1 support to a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) throughout the school day. We are looking for someone who embodies patience, understanding, and a calm demeanour to help the child navigate their daily school life successfully.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the national curriculum, a strong work ethic, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Previous experience in a similar role is essential, along with a nuanced understanding of how to best support individual children.
To be considered for this role, applicants must hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification or higher in a relevant childcare discipline. This full-time position is available immediately and will run for the remainder of the academic year.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
