We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with Autism within a KS2 mainstream primary school in Kingstanding, Birmingham.
This role is available on either a full-time or part-time basis and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child’s educational journey.
Providing 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with Autism, both academically and socially.
Assisting with personalised learning strategies and implementing support plans.
Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive social interaction.
Supporting the class teacher and SENCo to ensure the pupil is fully included in school life.
Helping to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
Experience working with children, ideally within SEN or 1:1 support.
Knowledge or experience of supporting children with Autism.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to individual needs.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A positive, proactive, and flexible approach.
A supportive and welcoming team environment.
