Zest Education is recruiting for a hardworking and flexible 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work at a mainstream primary school Academy in Tamworth. This full-time role is available for an immediate start and offers ongoing opportunities for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working 1:1, particularly with children who have ASD and ADHD. This role will see you working in KS1.
The school actively encourage children to have a voice in their school experience and regularly make opportunities for them to talk about issues which are important to them, helping them relate these to wider events, past and present. Through this pupils will learn how to influence their future in a positive way, developing character and citizenship. They aim to provide a nurturing, safe environment and an ambitious, accessible curriculum that challenges and excites pupils.
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will be providing tailored support to a child with specific needs, including working in small groups and occasionally on a 1:1 basis as required. The successful candidate must demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and a genuine passion for supporting children in their educational journey.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
