Zest Education has the privilege of working with a school in the Tamworth area of Staffordshire to recruit a part time (0.6) Chemistry Teacher. This role is set to start in January 2024 for a minimum of one term.
The school’s ethos centres around the students and a large majority of the time is spent ensuring the pupils are enjoying the environment they are in whilst also achieving good grades. The school believe this it is best way to get the most out of the pupils and that is why the school are very creative and innovative to make sure they are always improving.
An ideal applicant will have:
- A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
- A strong passion for the subject of Chemistry and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 would be ideal but isn’t a necessity)
- A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
- The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
- Strong classroom and behaviour management.
