Are you an enthusiastic educator eager to make a difference in the lives of young learners? Zest Education is seeking a dedicated individual with a genuine love for teaching to join a dynamic school community in Selly Oak.
We welcome Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who possess experience in Key Stage 1 to apply and grow professionally in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the learning needs of Year 1 students.
2. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning and development.
3. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth.
4. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to enhance the educational experience.
5. Implement school policies and procedures to promote student welfare and safeguarding.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in education or a related field.
2. Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1, with a strong understanding of the UK curriculum.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
4. Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students and promote a positive learning environment.
5. Commitment to ongoing professional development and a reflective approach to improve teaching practice.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
