We are working alongside this fantastic school located in Yardley who are looking for a full-time classroom assistant to start in January 2024. The role will also continue on a long-term basis and there may also be the opportunity to go permanent in the future for the right candidate.
The good primary school has a strong focus on inclusion and equality and aims to provide all pupils with essential life skills. The school also works closely with parents and carers to provide the best possible education for all pupils. The amazing team of staff at the school strive to provide a curriculum that is vibrant and creative for all.
The school has an additional resource provision also known as the resource base. The provision aims to help improve core areas of reading, writing and maths for pupils who have additional learning needs. The role will involve working in the resource base alongside a team of supportive staff providing additional support to all pupils.
The ideal candidate must:
- Have experience working with children who have additional needs.
- Be a confident and proactive individual.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Be proficient in core subjects.
- Be able to build engaging relationships with all staff and pupils.
All applicants must be NVQ level 2 qualified (or above) in a relevant subject or have a minimum of 3 months experience within the last 5 years.
The pay for this role will range from £75 to £85 a day depending on experience and references.
