Classroom Support Assistant.

Do you have SEND experience looking for a part time role? Are you wanting to further your career and work in a successful and well-established school? If so, this role may be perfect for you. Zest Education are working closely with a secondary special educational needs school located in Lichfield who are looking to appoint a Classroom Support Assistant, to work 3 days a week 8:30-15:30.

This school caters for children from the age of eleven to nineteen with a wide range of educational difficulties ranging from moderate to severe and complex needs; some of the pupils have additional physical, sensory, and autistic conditions. Due to the needs of the learners, the ideal candidate will have previous experience of supporting individuals with special educational needs.

You will be required to work with individual and small groups of children, preparing classrooms and materials, and building positive relationships with pupils to promote interaction and learning. The successful candidate must be a proactive and engaging individual who has proven experience of having strong behaviour management skills and working across a range of age groups.

The role:

  • You must be passionate about working with students with special educational needs and have previous experience of working in a special school or similar environment
  • You must be a dedicated individual to providing children with a secure and supportive learning environment
  • You are a patient individual and have a positive attitude towards the educational development of the students
