Zest Education are currently working with a secondary School in Burton who are looking to recruit a Design and Technology Teacher for a part time-time, 0.6 position, starting May 2024 for the remainder of the school year.

The school is looking for a creative and passionate DT teacher who is diverse in their teaching methods, able to successfully manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment. This is a brilliant opportunity for a candidate to positively influence the lives of young students through creative work. The ability to plan and mark creative projects as well as having excellent behaviour management is essential to this role.

The successful applicant will have:
  1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  2. A strong passion for the subject of Design & Technology and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (Resistant Material knowledge would be an advantage)
  3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  5. Strong classroom and behaviour management
